Alright. Let's cover a few things that have happened since May 15th.
The spousal-unit and I returned to Austin on May 20th to finish loading up (mostly) yard art and yard tools along with the Harley. We rented the largest U-Haul trailer available (12' long, 6' wide) and didn't have room for the Harley. Sigh. It remains comfortably cozy in my neighbor's garage until The Ron-Man can get back over there to retrieve it. (Thank you, Ginny!)
As we headed west, we realized the Avalanche would turn 100,000 miles on the way. In honor of that event, there was some experimentation that eventually resulted in the following:
... at this juncture...
... and just before this (significant?).
Okay. So you have all now shared in that momentous occasion with us. Cheers!! :)
We continue to attempt to find places for all of our "stuff." It is tremendously more challenging than we thought it would be but we will make it work. I will mention I see some sizable donation boxes headed for the local Humane Society soon (Susan L., are you listening?). When you open the moving box and say "Hmmmm. Why did I keep this again?", you know it is time to re-evaluate a lot!
But... we have found time to relax and rejuvenate recently. It really helps to have a "pool boy" or a "cabana boy" handy (I'm thinking of you, Sherry Burgeson!) to ease the way. Sometimes what you wish for is in your own back yard! :)
Yep... it's always 5 o'clock somewhere!! (Thanks for the coolest housewarming gift, Debbie!)
Alright. I've gone long on this. I will regale you with tales of the jungle front beds soon. I didn't really need a machete... but it was close! Oh... and there's that whole ISP thing you will enjoy hearing about. I also have a rant about recycling (the total lack thereof) in this place. Oh... and then there is the job search I am on. Stay tuned!!
Until next post...
